It’s Spielberg showing that he still has some gas left in the tank. Is Disclosure Day a perfect movie? No, but it its still one of his strongest outings in two decades. Plus, John Williams, in defiance of God and time, is still out there making great scores.

This one has been a long time coming. Sidekicks is one of those movies that I have been in love with for a long time, and I am thrilled that we were able to watch it at the cabin this year. We didn’t know at the time that we would lose Chuck Norris shortly after recording. This was definitely his mountain top.

Cabin Chronicles 4 is in the books, and it was our best one yet. Sean started us off this year with the 1994…err…classic, A Low Down Dirty Shame. Opinions were varied, and hopefully no feelings were hurt, but it was still a good way to kick off the weekend.

It has been kind of a tough run for Marvel lately. Nothing really seems to be working out the way they want. Fantastic Four: First Steps kicks off the latest phase in the ever expanding MCU, but that doesn’t mean people will care about it. Does this live up to our Marvel standard? I guess you have to listen…because this is a podcast, and not a newspaper article.

For well over a decade, we have argued about the quality of the Superman films. The fights about Supes killing Zod in Man of Steel has literally been one of the defining qualities of a couple of us on this show. When another new Superman movie was announced, and it was to be directed by James Gunn, we were torn between optimist and cynicism. Gunn has certainly been a divisive director in the past, but would he continue that trend?
