Should we have posted our episode on the new Halloween movie last Wednesday…on Halloween? Maybe, but I bet there were tons of people making that obvious choice. Instead, we are giving it to you in November, that way Halloween can live on in your hearts well into Thanksgiving.

This week we take a look at several of the new Netflix romantic comedies. We did an episode many months ago where we asked what happened to this disappearing category of movies, and apparently we just needed to be patient to find out the answer. While we are thrilled that this genre is still relevant, the results are…a little bit mixed. I would like to go ahead and apologize for how poorly we explain some of these plots, some nights you just can’t find the thread to save your life. So sit back and relax as we fumble our way through Set It Up, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and Sierra Burgess is a Loser.

Edmond Rostand…why?!!!
The summer is over, but we refuse to give up the ghost just yet. Instead, we go back and revisit two of the bigger movies from this summer, Incredibles 2 and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. We have…a lot of feelings about both of these titles. We also have a special guest sitting in on this episode, even though he hasn’t seen either of these movies. Our guest, Dan, pitches some great ideas on how to make both of these franchises better, and I can’t say that I disagree with any of his suggestions.

You know folks, we don't just watch crappy action movies where The Rock faces off against a giant building. Sometimes truth is more compelling and certainly stranger than anything we can make up. This week we discuss two recent documentaries, Won't You Be My Neighbor, the story of Fred Rogers, and Three Identical Strangers, the tale of triplets who were separated at birth and then found each other later in life. With plenty of laughter, tears and suspense in these two films, there's something for everyone.

This is definitely one of the genres where we are at a loss. However, someone requested this episode, so we did our best to try and watch some of the more notable films from this particular category. Was it worth the hours and hours and hours of of voiceovers that we had to endure just to make this episode? That is up to you. I will say, it did give us a chance to introduce Roy to the Michael Bolton/Lonely Islands song, so maybe it was worth it.

Another month, another Marvel movie. I know that it feels like we go to the Marvel well too many times, but they keep making movies, so we will keep sharing our opinion. And hey, after 10 years and 20 movies, they finally have a female character in the title! We also take a few minutes to discuss the latest Avengers movie again, since Ryan waited so long to see it.

Dwayne Johnson used to fight people, but this year we've seen mere people are no longer worthy of his time. A few months ago we watched has he went toe-to-toe-to-claw-to-paw with a bevy of mutated creatures in Rampage, but apparently that was still too little of a challenge. Now Dwayne Johnson is facing off with a 220-story building, that's on fire and full of terrorists. Get your popcorn ready as we discuss the summer action flick, Skyscraper.
This week we finish our Kinner triple header with a deep dive into films from the mind of Stephen King. Love them or hate them, these movies are worth discussing!
